内容記述 | Representation of preschool children's number concepts was investigated in the present study. 3- and 4-year-old children solved 36 maguitude-comparison problems involving pairs of numbers I through 9. Numerical magnitude comparison problems were analyzed by using multidimensional scaling. The most striking result of the multidimensional scaling in 4-year-children showed that numbers 1,2,and 5 were classified into a cluster. This result suggested that children understood numbers 5 as a privileged anchor for numbers below 10. The structure of preschool children's number concepts was discussed in terms of procedural knowledge and conceptual knowledge. | |||||
