内容記述 | This paper is concerned with comparing two ways of learning academic vocabulary: contextualized learning and form-focused learning. Contextualized learning refers to the process of learning the meanings of new words from contextual clues. In contrast with contextual learning, form-focused vocabulary learning refers to the explicit teaching and learning of vocabulary in the classroom. The results of a collaborative action research project conducted in two content-based classes over a 15-week semester did not show significant difference between the effectiveness of the two vocabulary learning methods. | |||||
