内容記述 | The purpose of this article is to investigate what kind of teaching will develop children's abilities. That is to say, we will consider the best education to promote children's abilities and the best environment for children, especially children before the age of five. In our age, many educational methods for the acceleration of children's abilities have been practiced in Japan. People who conduct some specific education for young children insist on the importance of early education, especially the education of children before the age of three. People who conduct another type of specific education insist on educating children on the basis of psychological or cerebral physiological knowledge. Some people emphasize that every child can develop any ability, other people emphasize that only young children have the possibility of increasing every ability. On their education, those people generally say that parents, especially mothers, give their children a great deal of influence, that is, a mother will develop her children's abilities. We investigated in detail the educational methods that people of the positive opinion for acceleration conducted, and the results suggested that the simple and easy educational methods did not reflect recent psychological and cerebral physiological knowledge, although they insisted that their pragmatic education was founded on psychological and cerebral physiological knowledge. We concluded that education on the basis of psychological and physiological knowledge will be necessary and important in future because of developing children's abilities, but that there is no education that will enable every child to develop any ability. | |||||
