内容記述 | This is a brief report documenting the impressions of the teaching practicum experiences of five MIC students enrolled in the English Teacher Certification program. All five students completed their three-weeks of practice teaching at senior high schools in Miyazaki city. These reflections are representative of the class of 2004 and show how the university students struggled with the realities of teaching English in Japanese high schools. The major themes to emerge are: whether it is best to use communicative language teaching approaches, and whether high school students would respond to more student-centred teaching approaches. | |||||
