 note = {小文は筆者が宮崎国際大学の日本語授業「日本語表現II」で行ってきた「翻訳」授業の報告である。授業の目的は日本語能力の育成であり、「翻訳」がどのようにこの目的に役立つか、実際にはどのように授業を進めていったか、その時に注意すっべき点は何か等について述べた。小文は先ず授業で英単語に適切な訳語を考える段階で日本語の感覚が磨かれることに注意する。次に文単にの翻訳で日本語の自然な言い回しを考えることが文章作成の訓練になることを示す。最後に原文の行間・文勢にまで目を配って日本語訳を考えるというところまで進み、これらそれぞれが日本語能力の育成に効果があることを述べる。, This paper describes a part of the activities conducted in Japanese Expression 2 in which English-Japanese translation has been utilized to improve student's Japanese Language ability. The paper also describes how the activity is supposed to improve the Japanese Language ability of the students, how the classes have been conducted, and what are the word, then a sentence, and finally a block of sentences. At each stage the students' language ability of Japanese is challenged and improved.},
